Bordeaux: Essentials 3-Hour Bike Ride

2.Essentials 3-Hour Bike Ride

★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 412 reviews · 3 hours · from $41Best value

Ride roughly 10 to 15 km through Bordeaux with a local guide such as Loic, stopping at the cathedral, Grosse Cloche, Pont de Pierre, Darwin, Jardin Public, and more. The mostly flat route uses bike paths and quieter streets, with bikes, helmets, and water included.

“Lueck (my apologies of I've spelled your name wrong) was an excellent guide, making sure everyone was safe maneuvering the streets of Bordeaux. We rode approximately 15 km and you'd never know it. Not only did we see Bordeaux's monuments and a couple of Cathedrals, he took us to places we would never have seen! Because we were on bicycles, we were able to see a lot of Bordeaux, which was so fantastic! He also gave of a lot of history about the monuments and Bordeaux. I would highly recommend this tour!”

4.Bordeaux by Gravel Bike : Historic center & vineyards

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 7 reviews · from $138

Meet Edwin at Véloce in Bordeaux’s Chartrons district for a four-hour gravel-bike ride through historic streets, across Pont de Pierre, along the Garonne, and into Entre-Deux-Mers. You’ll visit a family winery, taste three wines, and return by old railway paths and country trails.

“Had a great Gravel bike tour with Edwin. Meeting was prompt, bikes ready, a quick adjustment and we were on our way. Started through town with a couple of short stops for some history before crossing the river on the stone bridge and alongside the river for a few km into the countryside. We were soon in the villages and the vineyards. Edwin was a good guide, with knowledgeable commentary about Bordeaux city and the wine culture and regions around the city. We set our own riding pace, with Edwin sat behind and only coming to the front to provide directions where needed. The vineyard visit was a welcome break…”
